West Basin to hold Rain Barrel giveaway at Morningside High School Nov. 1

INGLEWOOD – West Basin Municipal Water District will hold a rain barrel giveaway at Morningside High School on November 1st.

Inglewood Councilwoman Gloria Gray holds the distinct honor of not only being on the Inglewood City Council but also an elected member of the West Basin board of directors which prevents her from voting on water related items that contribute to increased water residents for most Inglewood residents.

Councilwoman Gray will be up for relection for BOTH elected seats and according to case precedent, she is not allowed to hold seats that conflict with each other.

If you are interested in holding an elected office, consider running for either seat. Inglewood voters would appreciate the ability to have someone be able to serve independetly on both governing bodies.

Take advantage of this giveaway by registering to receive up to TWO 50-gallon containers for your home. Those who receive the rain barrels are required to provide photos to West Basin verifying the rain barrels have been installed.

Morningside High School is located at 10500 S. Yukon Ave. and the event will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
