SAN FERNANDO – Two people were injured Tuesday when a work truck rear-ended a Los Angeles County Fire Department truck on the Golden State (5) Freeway in San Fernando. The crash occurred shortly after 3:30 p.m. on the southbound 5 Freeway near San Fernando Mission Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. SANTA ANA – A 60-year-old sex offender previously convicted of child annoyance and secretly recording someone without their consent was charged Tuesday with doing the same at a grocery store near UC Irvine. Roland Moreno was charged with burglary and child annoyance, both felonies, as well as a dozen misdemeanor counts of using a concealed recording device to record another without their consent, according to court records. SANTA ANA, Calif. – A former Orange County elementary school teacher and high school wrestling coach pleaded guilty today to possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM), including at least one video portraying masochistic sexual conduct involving a child. Richard O’Connor, 45, of Anaheim, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography. O’Connor formerly was employed as a fourth-grade teacher at Crescent Elementary School in Anaheim and volunteered as a boys’ wrestling coach at Canyon High School, also located in Anaheim. LONG BEACH – A man who was fatally shot — allegedly by the ex- boyfriend of the woman he was living with in Long Beach — was identified Monday. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office identified the 44-year-old victim as Mario Gallegos. The shooting was reported about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 6200 block of California Avenue, about a block east of Houghton Park, according to the Long Beach Police Department. “Upon arrival, officers located a male adult victim with life- threatening injuries to his upper body,” police said in a statement. “The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.”…

AGOURA HILLS – A man was found shot to death death at an apartment complex Saturday morning. Authorities are investigating after the man was found shot to death near the pool of the apartment community. The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department responded to a call at 12:03 a.m at the complex in the 29600 block of Strawberry Hill to find a man in his 40’s in a walkway behind the pool with gunshot wounds to his head. A cause of death has yet to be established. The man’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

ANAHEIM -Two pedestrians are dead after they were struck by a vehicle in Anaheim, police said Saturday. The collision was reported at approximately 8:30 p.m. Friday in the 1000 block of South Anaheim Boulevard, north of Lorraine Drive, KNBC 4 reported. The pedestrians – a man and a woman – died at the scene. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police and was not driving under the influence, authorities said. LOS ANGELES – The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped three-tenths of a cent Saturday to $4.844. The average price is 2.1 cents less than one week ago, 9.7 cents less than one month ago and $1.075 less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. LOS ANGELES – A 36-year old man was shot and killed in downtown Los Angeles outside of a Metro B  Line (Red) Station during a confrontation and the suspect is on the loose, authorities said Saturday. Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department responded at approximately 11:58 p.m. Friday to First and Hill streets where they learned the victim was arguing with the suspect, a 23-year-old man, when the suspect drew a gun and shot the man, an LAPD spokeswoman told City News Service. BEVERLY HILLS – Three children of a 65-year-old man who was fatally injured when struck by an Expo Line train at the 17th Street Station in Santa Monica in 2019 have tentatively settled their lawsuit against Metro. The death of Ronnie Solomon occurred about 8:30 a.m. Jan. 15, 2019, according to the coroner’s office and the Sheriff’s Transit Services Bureau. Solomon’s children, Deonta Tyree Solomon, Jeris Venwalas King and Esther Valery Person, brought the suit in September 2019.
