LOS ANGELES – A member of the Los Angeles County Sheriff Civilian Oversight Commission (COC) that is tasked with monitoring the sheriff’s department has resigned alleging conflict with county lawyers over a pending criminal case against a former District Attorney (DA) advisor to former District Attorney George Gascon. WEST COVINA – One person is dead and multiple people were injured in a two-vehicle crash early Friday morning. West Covina Police Department officers and West Covina Fire Department personnel responded to a two-car traffic collision in the 1700 block of W. Puente Ave and N. INGLEWOOD – The Inglewood City Council unanimously approved amending the Inglewood Municipal Code to prohibit the sale of fireworks and restrict the use or display of fireworks to City-Sponsored events or public displays at certain venues during the Feb. 18 city council meeting.
