A newly filed lawsuit against the County of Los Angeles is alleging a deputy in the East Los Angeles station is attempting to form a new deputy gang, according to the court filing. Deputy Amayel Garfias filed his lawsuit on Jan. 26 in Superior Court alleging he was first verbally and then physically assaulted over two days in Jan. 2021. It is not known when Garfias first filed his claim against the County, which is a precursor to a lawsuit. Former Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva continues to shed light on the homeless industrial complex that is plaguing LA County. The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors have pledged an additional $609 million towards homeless initiatives while taxpayer funds continue to be pilfered and mismanaged which results in the homeless numbers trending up. PICO RIVERA, Calif. – Two men are in custody after being arrested Wednesday night for robbing a 7-eleven, according to authorities. Sheriff deputies responded to a robbery call at about 11:00 p.m. Upon arrival at a 7-eleven located at 9349 Slauson Ave. employees told deputies they were robbed at gunpoint. Two teens were spotted running from the scene and a foot pursuit ensued. The suspects tried to flee across the train tracks and were apprehended and taken into custody.
THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (2UrbanGIrls) – A man and dog were trapped in their vehicle after being involved in a hit-and-run traffic collision, according to authorities. Ventura County Sherrif deputies and fire department personnel arrived at the intersection of Thousand Oaks Blvd. and Moorpark where a man was trapped inside a Toyota SUV. His three dogs were also rescued. He was transported to a local hospital in an unknown condition. Police are searching for a BMW SUV that witnesses say fled the scene just after the crash.
PICO RIVERA, Calif (2UrbanGirls) – A person was shot early Wednesday morning in Pico Rivera, according to authorities. Sheriff deputies and fire department personnel responded to a call for a gunshot victim at about 1:45 a.m. They arrived at the 9500 block of Beverly Blvd. near Ibsen Street and found one person suffering from a gunshot wound near Pico Park. The victim was transported to a local hospital in an unknown condition. There is no known motive or suspect at this time.

INGLEWOOD – The city of Inglewood was awarded $407 million towards the Inglewood Transit Connector project from state surplus funds on Jan. 31. “Today’s award supporting the Inglewood Transit Connector will be transformative not just for the City of Inglewood, but for communities throughout the South Bay and Los Angeles County,” said Asm.
