(SBE) – The Sheriff’s Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying additional suspects of a man suspected of attempted rape and kidnapping of a female juvenile on June 11 in Carson. Eugene Martindale III, 28, was arrested and charged with the attempted kidnapping of a woman in Carson. LOS ANGELES (SBE) – A former first responder who worked at a Long Beach hospital was sentenced today to 352 months in federal prison for selling fentanyl to two of his co-workers who thought they were buying cocaine, one of whom later died of an overdose after ingesting the powerful opioid. COMPTON – A former Compton councilmember has had his election fraud trial delayed again due to the constant change in prosecutors. Ex-Compton Councilman Isaac Galvan was due in court today on charges stemming from election fraud allegations and had his trial delayed while the new district attorney assigned to the case catches up to speed.
