Are you ready for romance? Time travel? Listen to Nick Fury sing?

“Rogers: The Musical” is now playing at the Hyperion Theater at Disney’s California Adventure.

The musical tells the tale of Steve Rogers journey to becoming Captain America.

The musical, first spotted in the first episode of Hawkeye on Disney+, tells Rogers’ story of his quest to join the Army during World War II.

“What’s a guy to do when ‘I want you’ doesn’t mean you?”

After applying to service centers around town, and being rejected, Rogers happens across two individuals who offer him the role of a lifetime: to become the first member of the Avengers.  Other members of the Avengers make appearances during the roughly 30-minute show.

Patriotism is the dominant theme of the musical where Rogers wants to serve his country not to “kill Nazis” but to instead spread kindness to all.

After becoming Captain America, Rogers is visited by his “older self” who longs for a date, love, and “better days”.  Cue Peggy Carter.

The show features five all-new songs with music by Grammy-winning composer Christopher Lennertz and lyrics by Jordan Peterson, Christopher Lennertz and Alex Karukas. The show includes “Save The City” from the Hawkeye (written by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman) and “Star Spangled Man” from Captain America: The First Avenger (written by Alan Menken and David Zippel).

No Disney production is complete without aptly themed food and merchandise that features the patriotic red, white, and blue color scheme.

Guests can nosh on All-American favorites: hot dogs and chips, pretzels, kettle corn, and ice-cold beverages available at select locations throughout the park. This is your hint to download the Disneyland mobile app and explore the mobile food ordering feature so you can order ahead (and avoid the wait) during your next visit.

Disney does an excellent job of preparing its young guests for sitting through live theater productions with a wide variety of shows playing throughout both Anaheim parks.

“The live production of “Rogers: The Musical” was specially crafted for Disneyland Resort guests by a team of more than 20 creatives and theater experts at Disney Live Entertainment,” said Roger Heartsner, Executive Producer at Disney Live Entertainment.

“Rogers: The Musical” is now performing Tuesday through Saturday most weeks during its limited-time run which is expected to end at the close of the summer season.

To purchase tickets and to make your reservation visit Disneyland.com.
