Authorities ID man shot to death at South Bay sports bar

HAWTHORNE – The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the man shot to death at a Hawthorne sports bar on October 12.

The shooting was reported at 7 p.m. Sunday in the 13700 block of South Inglewood Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, which sent homicide detectives to the scene to assist the Hawthorne Police Department in its investigation.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

He has been identified as 35-year-old Anthony Jackson.

KCAL reported the victim was shot in the head by a suspect or suspects, who fired from a vehicle from outside The Greatest bar.

No descriptions were available of the involved parties.
