PANORAMA CITY – The Los Angeles Police Department, Valley Traffic Detectives (VTD) are investigating a hit-and-run traffic collision that killed a man in his 30’s.
On September 29, 2025, around 9:35 p.m., a motorized scooter was traveling northbound Woodman Avenue at Strathern Street in the #3 lane. A gray Honda Sedan heading northbound on Woodman Avenue driving in the #3 lane collided with the motorized scooter. The impact caused the rider to be ejected and collide with the roadway. Following the first collision, a second vehicle collided with the motorized scooter proceeding northbound Woodman Avenue. The driver in the second collision is cooperating with the investigation.
The Los Angeles Fire Department’s paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased at scene. The victim is described as a male, Hispanic, in his early 30’s. His name is being withheld pending identification and notification of next of kin by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
Motorists are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves.
On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $50,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
