Laura Richardson’s campaign for State Senate is proud to announce the endorsement and support of two of California’s most powerful and influential elected officials.

Both are dedicated public servants who have amassed an impressive list of accomplishments.

Laura served with Congresswoman Waters and Mayor Bass in the US Congress and served and worked with both to deliver resources to our community as a member of the CA State Assembly.

“The endorsements from Congresswoman Waters and Mayor Bass validate Laura Richardson’s record of hard work and commitment to the community stated campaign spokesman Mike Trujillo. Laura looks forward to delivering resources to the communities they will all share once elected.”

Congresswoman Maxine Waters, a respected and influential figure in California politics, emphasized Richardson’s readiness to take on the responsibilities of the State Senate.

Waters praised Richardson’s unwavering commitment to public service and her deep understanding of the issues facing the 35th Senate District.

“Laura Richardson has consistently demonstrated her ability to lead with integrity and passion. Her extensive experience and proven track record make her the ideal candidate to represent the 35th Senate District. I am confident that Laura will continue to fight for the values and needs of our community, and I am proud to endorse her candidacy,” Waters stated.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass added her working alongside Richardson during her political tenure is what secured her support.

“As a former Assemblywoman, Speaker of the Ca. Assembly, Member of Congress, and now Mayor of Los Angeles, I strongly endorse my former colleague Laura Richardson for 35th State Senate who has worked capably with me, side by side, to improve the lives of residents we represent. Laura Richardson has a proven record of bold leadership that will help strengthen the economy, protect good paying jobs, improve safety in our neighborhoods and partner to provide housing and treatment for the unhoused, so that all families might rise and thrive, stated Mayor Bass.

The General Election will take place on November 5. California residents have until October 21 to register to vote.
