PALMS – A 30-year-old man is in police custody and suspected of fatally shooting a man in his 50s in Palms, authorities said Friday.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded at 8:34 p.m. Thursday to the 3600 block of Military Avenue between Palms and Venice boulevards where witnesses told them the suspect entered the home of the victim and shot him, according to LAPD Officer Annie Moran.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Moran said the victim and the suspect were related.
The suspect was arrested by police as he was driving away from the scene.
