ADL attempts to blame rise on antisemitism on Ye

The ADL sent out an email today with a blazing headline The influence of Ye’s antisemitic conspiratorial rants stating they have documented “30 antisemitic” incidents that directly reference Ye, however, in the case of the recent shootings at two Los Angeles synagogues there is no factual evidence presented by investigators that they were related to the artist.

According to federal charges filed against Jaime Tran, 29, he had a history of making antisemitic statements to former Jewish classmates but no reference to the artist is made in the 20-page filing.

Tran’s antisemitic tirades and animus towards the Jewish community has no factual connection to the artist formerly known as Kanye West.

A recent town hall held between the elected officials and members of the Jewish community was to build healthy relationships between the Black and Jewish communities but fell short because no Asian elected officials were on hand to discuss possible animus between the Asian and Jewish communities.

Last month the ADL released a comprehensive survey that found that the number of people in the U.S. who harbor extensive prejudice against Jews has doubled since 2019 to the highest level in decades. The report has zero mention of Ye and asked no questions of whether the respondents bias towards Jewish people was because of him either.

The survey asked more than 4,000 U.S. adults about anti-Jewish tropes and found that 20 percent of respondents — representing as many as 52 million people in the U.S. — agreed with six or more of the 11 anti-Jewish statements we asked them about.

Among the findings: 20 percent say Jews have “too much power” in the United States; 21 percent agree that Jews “don’t care about anyone other than themselves” and 53 percent say that Jews will go out of their way to hire other Jews. These findings reveal substantial beliefs that Jews are too powerful, selfish and insular.

Shootings of anyone based on hate is unacceptable but it is irresponsible to place the blame on someone when the evidence doesn’t support it.
