LOS ANGELES (CNS) – A jet being towed from a gate at Los Angeles International Airport struck a shuttle bus, injuring four people. Two shuttle passengers, the bus driver and the tug driver of the jet were hospitalized Friday in stable to moderate conditions, according to Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department.. Members of the LAPD/FBI Fugitive Task Force arrested Alexander Adams in Long Beach on Wednesday on suspicion of the Jan. 9 killing of Nicholas Garcia. PALMDALE – Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies fatally shot a suspect in Palmdale, authorities said Saturday. Deputies from the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station were called at approximately 10:21 p.m. Friday to the 37000 block of Oxford Drive regarding a domestic violence call, said Lt. Patricia Thomas. During their investigation of the incident, the suspect moved toward them with an edged weapon and was shot by deputies. The suspect was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. COVINA – A collision involving a Metrolink train and a car in Covina Friday left one person from the vehicle injured. Paramedics sent to North Barranca Avenue and East Front Street about 10:25 a.m. took the injured person to a hospital in unknown condition, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Coryell, credited with creating the Air Coryell offense, was the first head coach to win more than 100 games at the collegiate and professional level.
