ORANGE – Authorities sought the public’s help Sunday in identifying and locating a man they believe wounded another man during a shooting at an open-air outlet mall in Orange. LOS ANGELES – Two men were wounded Friday evening in a shooting in South Los Angeles. Los Angeles Police Department officers were called at 9 p.m. to Avalon Boulevard and Imperial Highway where they learned the two victims were walking along Imperial Highway when the suspects fired several shots at them, striking one in a leg and another in the side, according to Officer Drake. Both victims were taken to a hospital in an unknown condition. SANTA ANA – Over the objections of prosecutors, an attempted murderer was sentenced Friday to two more years in prison for stealing unemployment benefits during the COVID-19 pandemic. Bruno Galindo, 51, pleaded guilty Dec. 28 to 20 counts of false statement or representation or concealment, six counts of money laundering, and a count of conspiracy to defraud, all felonies. Galindo had accepted a plea deal from Orange County Superior Court Judge Cheri Pham. Prosecutors objected to the plea deal.
