LOS ANGELES – A man has died after falling from the rooftop of a downtown Los Angeles parking garage early Saturday morning.
Los Angeles Police Department officers and Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to reports of a man’s falling death near 8th Street and Grand Street around 3:00 a.m.
According to a sergeant speaking off-camera, a 20-year-old male fell from the top floor of a parking garage after possibly slipping off the railing.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics declared the male deceased at the scene.
Several of the man’s friends who witnessed the incident are cooperating with investigators, and surveillance footage has been obtained to review the events leading up to the fall.
Authorities have stated that no foul play is suspected and believe the group was filming TikTok videos on the roof at the time of the incident.
The man’s identity is being withheld pending notification of his next of kin.
