LOS ANGELES – A man is in custody after a reported shooting in the Skid Row area of downtown Los Angeles late Wednesday night.
Los Angeles Police Department officers with the Central Division responded to reports of shots fired in the area of 5th Street and San Pedro Street around 11:55 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers located a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds on the sidewalk. He was taken to a local hospital in an unknown condition.
Officers located the suspect a short time later at the intersection of Los Angeles and Alameda Streets.
The suspect was shot with a less-lethal 40mm round due to being uncooperative with officers and was also transported to the hospital.
