1 dead in two-vehicle crash in West Covina

WEST COVINA – One person is dead and multiple people were injured in a two-vehicle crash early Friday morning.

West Covina Police Department officers and West Covina Fire Department personnel responded to a two-car traffic collision in the 1700 block of W. Puente Ave and N. Orange Ave around 12:17 a.m.

Once firefighters and officers arrived on the scene, they located two vehicles with multiple people trapped in both vehicles. One person was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Their identity is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.

A total of 3 to 4 people were transported to local hospitals with unknown injuries.

Anyone with any additional information or who may have been a potential witness to the incident is urged to contact the West Covina Police Department Traffic Bureau at 626-939-8513.
