According to Faulk, “women’s empowerment is necessary for the development and sustainability of a strong and capable community and for enhancing the quality of life for all citizens. Many families still face uncertain futures and are often forced to make tough quality-of-life decisions concerning caring for themselves and their families. Women’s empowerment and achieving gender equality are essential for our families and our community to ensure the growth and well being of their loved ones.”
