INGLEWOOD – PEPSI® Dig In, a platform designed to drive access, business growth and awareness for Black-owned restaurants, is expanding its Pepsi Dig In Day celebrations to more cities and establishments. Now in its fourth year, the annual initiative encourages foodies across the country to dine at Black-owned restaurants on the day and beyond.
“Pepsi Dig In Day is all about shining a spotlight on Black-owned restaurants and creating opportunity to drive more customers through their doors. This year, we’re excited to bring Pepsi Dig In Day to Chicago, a city that is already known for its food scene, and helping to make a lasting impact on these businesses and their communities,” said Scott Finlow, Chief Marketing Officer of PepsiCo Global Foodservice.
Pepsi Dig In Day returns Saturday, August 24, encouraging restaurant-goers to bring their favorite dining partner along with a buy-one-get-one offer nationally, covering $100,000 in meals at more than 30 restaurants. Pepsi Dig In is also rallying the community together for the day with its epic block party in Chicago, with performances headlined by recently reunited platinum-selling hip-hop duo Clipse, exclusive merchandise by local streetwear designer Don C, local food vendors, and more.
Foodies can visit select restaurants for a special one-day-only BOGO meal* (while supplies last) served with a free PEPSI® Zero Sugar at 31 restaurants across 15 cities and 11 states. From iconic establishments to local fan favorites, there’s a dining option from coast to coast including:
