LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office is seeking the public’s help in identifying a Latino man found dead inside the Cecil Hotel on July 9.
The person is believed to be between the ages of 20-50.
“The decedent was found decomposed in a room in the Cecil Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles on the night of 7/9/2024. The room was reported to have been vacant. The decedent has wavy brown hair, unknown colored eyes, a beard, mustache, and an incomplete set of natural teeth.”
The medical examiner’s office noted tattoos: “Left Forearm: “RIP JAK”, Puerto Rican flag, stack of money, Right Upper Arm: faded “$”.”
The office has not confirmed his cause of death.
