INGLEWOOD, Calif. (2UG) – A longtime member of the Inglewood Police Department has announced their retirement.
“After 35 years of unwavering commitment to our Police Department and Community, Lieutenant James Kirk is hanging up the uniform,” wrote Jose Corters, Human Resources Director/Assistant City Manager in an early morning email to all staff.
The email invited the staff to attend his retirement party on Sept. 28.
Kirk has held a variety of positions within the department that included SWAT, Narcotics and Special Investigations and most recently as the head of stadium operations at SoFi Stadium.
There’s growing speculation he will go work for Hollywood Park as liaison to the City’s police department.
Congratulations on your retirement!
