INGLEWOOD, Calif. (SBE) – The California Transportation Commission is expected to earmark $60 million for transit related projects, including the Inglewood Transit Connector during scheduled meetings later this month.

According to Urbanize LA, a website that monitors developments around the country, CTC staff are recommending the funding for multiple projects in Los Angeles County.

The three projects are: I-405 Corridor Community Bus Service Improvement Program which receive roughly $32 million.  The Inglewood Transit Connector is slated to receive $6.3 million towards construction which still leaves the City grappling to obtain over $700 million from the federal government by years end, and the Los Angeles Metro Light Rail CORE Capacity and System Integration Project will receive “$20 million for a project that aims to improve passenger capacity on the C Line” which are all components needed in anticipation of the 2028 Olympics.
