POMONA – Authorities Thursday identified a man who was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Pomona.

The collision occurred about 5:05 a.m. Tuesday in the 4100 block of West Valley Boulevard, at the terminal point of the Long Beach (710) Freeway, the Pomona Police Department reported.

Antonio Garcia, 62, of Bell, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, was fatally injured, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office and Pomona police.

The driver of the vehicle in which Garcia was riding was taken to a hospital for treatment of “moderate” injuries, police said. The other driver was not injured.

Anyone with information about the crash was urged to call the Pomona Police Department’s Traffic Services Bureau at 909-620-2048.
