Allen Media Group‘s theGrio will honor CBS News journalist Gayle King with theGrio‘s “Journalist Icon Award” for her tremendous career accomplishments and service to America during a star-studded event in Washington, DC April 29.
Byron Allen Presents the Washington DC Gala will take place at The Smithsonian National Museum of African-American History & Culture. The event will also feature a performance by music icon Diana Ross.

Comedian Roy Wood, Jr. will host the event which is sponsored by Allen Media Group, Procter & Gamble and My Black is Beautiful.
