WEST HOLLYWOOD – Authorities Thursday were investigating a robbery in West Hollywood involving two suspects and possibly an assault rifle.
The crime occurred about 9:15 p.m. Tuesday at Santa Monica Boulevard and Orlando Avenue, near La Boheme restaurant, according to reports from the scene.
A manager at La Boheme told KNX radio that the robbery took place in an alley behind the restaurant near the valet stand, and that the victims were customers leaving the establishment.
Video footage posted by the news website Wehoville shows two suspects, one of whom appeared to be carrying a rifle, and robbing two people.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident. KNX reported that, while the sheriff’s department confirmed an armed robbery occurred, it could not confirm an assault rifle was involved.
