GARDENA – One person was killed and two others were injured in a high-speed crash Friday in Gardena.

Officers from the Gardena Police Department responded at 3 a.m. to the intersection of Rosecrans and Vermont avenues where they found the victims, according to KCAL News.

One person died at the scene and the two injured victims were taken to a hospital in an unknown condition.
According to witnesses at the scene, one of the vehicles was traveling at a high rate of speed and ran a red light before the crash.
The collision closed all southbound lanes of Vermont for several hours.
