SANTA ANA – Two men and a woman were charged Wednesday in connection with a gang-related killing and an attempted killing in Anaheim.
Adam Galaviz, 45, was charged with murder, attempted murder and participation in gang activity, as well as two counts of dissuading a witness by force, all felonies. He also faces sentencing enhancements for a gang member’s vicarious discharge of a firearm causing great bodily injury and gang activity.
Co-defendant Juan Junior Meza, 26, was charged with murder, attempted murder and participating in gang activity, all felonies. He also faces sentencing enhancements for discharge of a gun causing death, gang activity and attempted premeditated murder.
Co-defendant Yvonne Fernanda Colon was charged with two counts of dissuading a witness by force with sentencing enhancements for the personal use of a deadly weapon, described in the criminal complaint as a metal pipe.
The man slain and the target of the attempted killing were unidentified in the complaint. The witnesses were women.
The killing occurred on April 23, 2021, and the attack on the witnesses happened on Oct. 29, 2021, according to the complaint.
Anaheim police and Orange County prosecutors did not immediately provide any further details on the killing.
