PICO RIVERA – A pedestrian was killed Monday morning on the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway in Pico Rivera.
The death occurred just after 3 a.m. in the southbound lanes at Rose Hills Road, California Highway Patrol Officer Elizabeth Kravig told City News Service.
The name, age and gender of the pedestrian were not available, Kravig said. Details of the crash were also not available.
Video from the scene showed CHP officers investigating the death while a body lay in one lane under a yellow cover.
The CHP issued a SigAlert at 3:22 a.m. shutting down all southbound lanes in the area. The HOV lane was reopened to traffic at 4:20 a.m.
