LONG BEACH – A pedestrian who was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Long Beach was identified Thursday.
Officers were sent to Pacific Coast Highway and Harbor Avenue at about 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
“Upon arrival, officers located a male adult victim who had seemingly been involved in a traffic collision suffering from life-threatening inquires,” police said in a statement.
“Long Beach Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and determined the victim deceased at the scene,” police said. “No vehicle remained on scene.”
County authorities identified Kevin Evans, 59, as the dead pedestrian.
