Feinstein: ‘I haven’t released anything’

Sen. Diane Feinstein has told reporters she has not made any statements about not running for office next year.

‘I haven’t made that decision. I haven’t released anything,’ she told reporters when asked about her emailed statement.

When a staffer mentioned the earlier announcement, she said, ‘You put out the statement? I didn’t know they put it out.’

Her statements lead to further speculation that she is either in a declining mental state or her staffers are taking advantage of her for their own political gain.

Alex Padilla, California’s junior senator, confirmed to reporters at Senate Democrats’ weekly press conference that Feinstein had indeed informed the caucus at their Tuesday lunch that she would retire at the beginning of 2024.

A mysterious letter has surfaced with both Feinstein and Padilla’s name on it where they blame the Department of Justice for failures within the Los Angeles County Men’s Central Jail despite the Board of Supervisors hiring Max Huntsman as their Inspector General in late 2014.

Huntsman has been in the position for close to a decade and his only priorities over the last four years was battling with former Sheriff Alex Villanueva over deputy gangs which are now a distant after thought.

Freshman California State Assemblywoman Tina McKinnor is also in on the “DiFi” action with her endorsing Adam Schiff for Feinstein’s seat. She double downed and put up a social media post on her “Ad Paid for by Tina McKinnor” account explaining why she was supporting him.

I support Congressman @AdamSchiff because of his votes on policy in the last few years. He voted for the George Floyd Act, the right for a woman to have an abortion, The New Green Deal and raising the national minimum wage. It was great seeing Adam Schiff this morning. pic.twitter.com/F8Z4wVKiCY

Is Feinstein’s own staff setting up her political demise?
